Parking for CanadaFest
CanadaFest 2016 has once again come rolling along full steam ahead. Here in the offices of Le Soleil de la Floride bear witness to talent agents, businessmen, presenters, partners, organizers, reunions among other things.
Day and night CanadaFest has been preparing for one of the biggest celebrations ever! A record number of booths overflowing with goods and services will participate at the event.
On A1A :
On the perpendicular roads to A1A are several private properties which have been transformed into open air parking lots. In addition to those open air parking lots there is parking available near the Hollywood Beach Culture and Community Center on Azalea Terr. Additional parking is also available in the Crown Plaza Hotel and in the Diplomat Landings Garage behind the Western Diplomat Resort and Spa, the big pink hotel situated right in front of Hollywood Blvd.
Downtown Hollywood (Trolley Service)
We anticipate that most of the available parking on the beach will be full by early morning, and along with Kimberly Stephanski, Development Associate at Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency, suggest to park in Downtown Hollywood. There are two parking garages which are directly in front of a trolley stop. The trolley brings people from Downtown to the beach from 10am to 11pm. In addition to the trolley is a beach shuttle which is in service from 11am to 6pm every weekend, and the charge is $1 per person.
Madame Stephanski reminds festival patrons that this approach is less expensive as the downtown parking rates are cheaper than those found at the private hotels on the beach.
Also, the trolley system has an app that will permit patrons to see in real time where the trolleys are currently located. The app is called ’’Hollywood FL Trolley".
There are also additional parking garages available downtown which are not too far from trolley stops. You can view them on the map above. (Click the map to see an enlarged version)
Downtown parking is never too far from a trolley stop and many patrons have employed the strategy of dropping off their family, iceboxes, and equipment at the beach first and then park downtown.
More adventurous people may wish to park downtown and use their bikes to get to the beach. People who love to walk can also walk to the beach, or take a taxi.
For the most adventurous tourist out there, one can take a Water Taxi ride. Of course planning your day before the festival is the best way to maximize your time and ensure you have the most festive of days. It's not a perfect solution, but honestly there has never been one, but one thing is for sure. It will be the most exciting CanadaFest ever!
